Youth start project
This year our school is taking part in a new project called Youth Start. It gives the students a taste of the entrepreneurial world that we live in and also shows them what skills are required to become a successful businessperson. The tasks given to them help students take responsibilities, develop ideas and execute them, and also how to organise themselves efficiently. They are encouraged to think creatively and work in groups. These individual challenges give them a sense of independency as they are expected to accomplish the tasks without the teachers interfering. Finally, at the end of each challenge the students present their ideas to their peers which is followed by a class discussion. This will help them improve their speaking and their demeanour when speaking in front of a crowd, which will eventually boost their confidence in class. Thus, the project will teach our students many new skills or even evolve the abilities that they have already acquired over the years.
