The teachers of the LRSL English Department are continuously stressing the urgent need for English language teaching to be given the important status it deserves as today's international language par excellence. The LRSL English Department aims at providing the students with expert konwledge of English through developing their speaking, writing, listening and reading skills. It is shining the spotlight on the pivotal role of literature and culture in language teaching, learning and assessment. The students are encouraged to improve their linguistic and intercultural communicative competence. Motivated students may envisage higher education or internships in English-speaking contexts.
